It really sounds like you have TypeII and not IR or both. My PCP diagnosed me with typeII because I had 2 consecutive readings over 150 2hrs after drinking the sugar drink. I'd either talk to your dr or see another one for a second opinion. Either way you'll need to start eating a low carb/diabetic diet if you haven't started already.

Default TY Lori

I did see a gyno after that and he put me on glucophage xr, and said that it would help with my DIABETES but due to a stupid insurance company I have to see my GP and he still says IR but has me testing blood levels 4 times a day.

Yes I do the low carb diet that the ADA recommends.

OOOOOOOOOOOO and I forgot GP took me off Glucophage said there was no studies that proved it help either IR or PCOS. and Insurance will not let me swap doc but once per year and I have till OCT with this one.

Grrrrr I get so mad when I see a doctor not doing his/her job. Your GP probably doesn’t have a clue about PCOS. I was able to get my MetER through my OB while TTC then my GP/PCP took over but he’s a wonderful well, informed doctor.

When I first thought I had PCOS I was seeing a different PCP and she tested me for everything but not PCOS. My sugars were always high but she never did anything for it so I ended up with full blown diabetes. I really hope you can get something worked out and don’t have to wait until October. I’m glad you gyno put you gluc. It has done wonders for me.
