I've been prescriped Diane a while ago and finally decided to start taking it. As my cycle is longer than 35 days I was wondering if I have to wait for my next period or if I can start taking Dianette now?

It is usually advised to start a pill pack after AF. Your ob can give you some pills to jump start your AF (I think progesterone). This is what mine did since it seemed like AF would never show and I was anxious to start the pack.

I have just started the Diane and never get my period. My doc told to just start taking it and that it would take effect after a week... so I supposed it doesn't matter!
If you start it on CD 1 it's supposed to take effect straight away, but I wouldn't rely on it.
