Well I was put on yasmin last Thursday and the day after I got my period just from one pill. And I've had my period ever since then and its still going on like its never going to end. Has this happened to anyone before? Should I be concerned about it?

Tina, it is common for women to spot the first month of starting/switching BCPs because of the hormones they contain. When I started Yasmin, I started the first day of my period, and it seemed to lighten the flow, but I spotted almost the entire month. Since then, I have not had any spotting, and AF has been light. If you are losing a large amount of blood be sure to consult your doctor.
Did you start taking Yasmin on the first day of AF, or did you just start on a certain day? Also, has AF come regularly in the past, or is this the first time she's visited in a while?
When I started Yasmin, I had my period for the entire month. When I started the new pack the second month, my body started reacting normally. I think it's normal.

A lot of women spot the first month on the pill. It takes the second pack/cycle for your body to get used to it. I know that every time I go off my Yasmin for a week to have some one-on-one time with AF and then start it up again, I actually spot for about one to two weeks (it might be annoying, but it's better than bleeding 365 days a year like I do without any hormones). As long as it's not heavy, I wouldn't worry at all.
yasmin was horrible for me, it gave me melasma, but it did clear my skin, problem with it was it made me get panic and anxiety attacks, irregular heart beat and really dark bruises on my body. and chest pains. the irregular hear beat thing sent me to the er, and they couldnt find what was causing it. turns out yasmin messed my potassium levels up which effected my heart beat rythum. i am 28. also i am not over weight and am pretty healthy. i would reccomend another pill about the bleeding thing. it never made me spot it kept my periods regular and did clear up my acne. my best friend was on yasmin and she is fine ...excepth for the road rage LOL, she was always angry on it. she switched to mircette and now she says she is calm and feels great, no weight gain, no acne. she also gets cysts. dermoids i dont think she has pcos though. good luck.
