Default Herbal Support for Thyroid and Adrenal?

Dear Cysters,
Just wanted to know if anyone is using a particular herb/herb combination to support Thyroid and Adrenal function.
Please let me know what you've used/are using and how it's working for you.
Thanks,
Cammie

hi,

I go to a naturopath in North Vancouver, BC and he gives me BMR. It's a natural supplement containing kelp(iodine), copper, zinc, L-Tyrosine and bovine pituitary extract. It's made a huge difference for me and brought my TSH into normal range. might be worth seeing a naturopathic doctor for more info and testing, good luck

I use Siberian Ginseng for Adrenal stress and Kelp for thyroid. I have noticed that since taking the ginseng I don't have the problems with anxiety and insomnia that I used to have and my temps have risen since taking the kelp.

Default Thanks!

Ladies -
Thanks for you input.
I've addressed this with my naturaupath, but at this point, I've been on the road for over 6 months and no doctor in their right mind would prescribe anything without seeing me and I certainly don't blame them.

I've been supplementing zinc already (helps a great deal with improving complexion) and have supplemented with Licorice...having reviewed my records with an internal medicine specialty doc, we've come to the conclusion that I've probably come close to exhausting my adrenal glands and my thyroid is having to pick up the slack. It coordinates with excessive weight gain which low TSH levels would do...

My TSH levels remain low but "within range" for normal. Therefore I just want to provide the poor thyroid gland with as much help as I can give it rather than "fix" anything.

Until I can actually come in for a landing and see the doc's, supplementation is about all I can do and I want to make sure I'm tracking and not distracting.

Thanks for all your input.

Cammie
