Default herbals and Rxs - any mixers?

I was wondering if anyine was mixing herbal remedies with their regular medications. They always say you should ask your doctor before taking any supplement/remedy, but usually the doctor isn't too sure what goes with what, and what's safe to take, so they warn you away from the herbals.

Specifically, I'm taking Wellbutrin (300 mg/day) and bcp Demulen. Am going to doctor's asap to get on Metformin, and have started to take vitamins and minerals. SO, I was wondering if anyone is taking or has taken any of these drugs with Vitex, Red clover, or any other herbals, and what your experience has been.

Also, if anyone out there is familiar with homeopathics, I read that Coffea 6c might help my insomnia. Any input about drug interactions?

Thanks a lot.

Simone
