Default Herbs to make me O and have AF?

I know nothing about herbs and would like to know what should I try?

I need AF to come on her own

I need to O.

I have PCOS and have all symptoms.... Weight, Hair, Skin Tags, Acne, Borderline IR, etc.

What could I possbily try? I have tried the clomid and it didn't even make me O.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I also know that herbs will take up to several months to work and I am ok with that. I am playing the waiting game anyway b/c I can't afford to go on to IUI or IVF right now.

thanks in advance for any responces!!

Hugs
Brandi

Hi Brandi.

I'm not sure you'll want to hear this, but you may find that using herbal remedies is trial and error. I tried Vitex for a long time, and it made things worse. Other cysters use it with great results. Since PCOS is such an individual thing, the treatments for it are equally specific to the person.

I am taking a pre-natal multi that doesn't contain copper, vitamin C, vitamin E, hemp oil, garlic, chromium, saw palmetto, a B-complex and the drug Metformin. Before I started the Met, I was ovulating on my own, thanks largely in part to the supplements that I am taking. But I had to experiment with them. The B-complex has had the added bonus of slowing the rate of facial hair growth by half for me. But it may not do that for everyone.

The multi, C and E are vitamins that I would recommend to everyone, with or without PCOS, as they are for general health.

The rest of what I am taking are to help balance my hormones. They are still out of whack somewhat, but things are getting better, and I continue to ovulate on my own.

At one point, a few years ago, I had only 2 cycles the whole year. I am improving, but it has been with much research, support and trial and error.

Why not do a search of the board (found at the bottom of the page in this forum)? Spend some time reading what works and why. Learn what things do, and whether or not they would suit your personal profile.

Remember, natural medicine treats the person, not the symptoms. The underlying problem is hormonal. The hair, the acne, the rest of it... those are all symptoms.

And don't be afraid to ask questions if there is something that you can't find information on in a search.

Research, research, research is the key. There are several books in the resources for healing PCOS which help with this. Vitex is often quite good. I have found donq quai to be excellent however. It really is a very individual thing.

I dont know if i Oed, but Ive been taking vitex, and i finally got an AF from it....I didnt have AF at all for the past 9 months, so i have to assume it was prayers mostly, and vitex working on my side...But like i said, im not sure if i oed though...... Like you, ive tried clomid, and i didnt O off that either...And the others are right, everyones body is different, and we are all going to respond to things in a different way. Good luck!
