Exclamation Successfully fighting Acne . . . from my 6 years of Experience

Okay guys, these are all my skin problems and I'm wondering if there's anyone with troubles like mine . . .

(1) black heads all over the face (esp. the nose and cheeks);
(2) red heads forming at the sides of my fore head and cheeks, occasionally on the chin;
(3) dirty brownish spots on my chin after my past pimples;
(4) excessively oily face (esp. the nose, forehead and chin), chest area and back

I had acne since I was 9. I am 15 now but I still have it. Before I started getting zits and pimples I used to stare at my face in the mirror, thinking how ugly my cheeks were because the pores were so big like huge grey freckles. I am really fed up with having these crap for 6 years . . . but because I have had experience with zits and pimples for this long, I have some information that might help others.

1. Decreasing "most" BLACK HEADS on the nose and "some" on the cheeks

Biore Strips >>> I don't believe there is anything better than the biore strips that you can buy anywhere (hopefully). There's one person I know on PCOS who has used them but complained that they didn't work - I suggested the person to ignore one of the instructions on the biore strips packet. Well, the tip is to leave it on until the strip is really dry. Not 10 to 15 minutes, as it is written on the packet. Although it may hurt, it is worth it because in my case almost all the blackheads on my nose and some on my cheeks disappear. Of course this is no longterm, so you'll have to use it every week.

Another important thing is that you must use the biore strips after you have a hot bath or shower! Or the pores on your face will not expand and it won't be easy for the strips to pluck out those tiny, horrible, hardened, dirty, yellow egg-shaped oil out of your poor pores! So you need alot of time for this.

Basic instructions: At least 10 mins of hot bath or shower, wet your nose, put on your strip with dry fingers, keep them on until they're CRISP DRY.

Warning: Don't stay in a humid place because it will be the same as touching the strip with wet fingers. And if you go in your freezing air-conditioned room your pores will contract, making it hard for the strips to get the hardened oil out.

Short-term Disadvantage] One possible problem with this is that your face, after using the strips, may become irritated and turn all red. This is what happens with me, but as long as I use it the day before I meet my friends face to face, the next morning my facial skin is back to normal.

My Problem: Although I can get rid of my blackheads using this method, those zits come back in about a week. And when I don't have those strips, I have no other choice but to walk around in public with black spots on my nose! That is why I need help . . . any alternatives for decreasing blackheads?

2. Decreasing RED HEADS especially on the forehead area

Loufa >>> not too soft because it isn't very effective, and not too rough because it'll only scrape the skin off your face! Rub soap on your loufa, make it bubble and rub it on your red heads. For some reason this is effective in getting rid of the red heads on your forehead more than the ones on your cheeks or chin. Don’t forget to wash off the soap well. If you do this every day especially before bed or possibly twice a day, the results will come out in at least a week. At least that's with me.

My Problem: I need better cures for the red heads on my cheeks. I better go reading more of the threads on Acne in search for a solution. Any one have any alternatives?

3. Decreasing OIL on the face

Oil Paper >>> Yes this is the best but after an hour my nose and forehead shine like mirrors again. Don’t rub the paper all over your face because that spreads the oil. Push the papers onto your face.

Water >>> So far I found out that drinking lots and lots of water makes the oil and toxins flow out of your body instead of out through your pores. Also, I have read that because our pores discharge the oil in our body, we should reduce our consumption of dairy products and fried or oily food.

My Problem: I will research more because I'm having real trouble with this - my rude ignorant friend told me: "Ewww
ur bf's gonna kiss u on ur oily 4head! Make sure u use alot of thos paper thingy b4 he does it!" . . . it was embarrassing!

4. Decreasing all ACNE from your Supposed-to-be-Beautiful face!

Washing Method >>> I can prove from this section that dermatologists can be right AND wrong. The right thing was the way she taught me how to wash my face. It all starts fromt he way you wash! What ever soap you have (I use NOVA acne soap lol but I wonder if they sell it all over the world I bought them in Japan) you have to make a foam out of it. Rub your soap well on your hands and make them bubble. My dermatologist told me: "It's like washing your face with bubbles." ...not just with the soap. Do you get it? And you have to massage your face thoroughly, especially the parts with lots of acne. And make sure you do this for a while, not just rubbing the foam on your face and promptly splashing them off. For me it's best to do it during a hot shower because my pores will expand in the heat.

This method also really works in smoothing out the pointy parts of your blackheads. My nose used to feel like sandpaper but now it is as smooth as a snow-boarding slope, although I still have the hardened oil in my pores and they are fairly visible

Now the wrong thing was that for some people it works better if your rub your pimples with a towel or a loufa than just with your hands and fingers. My dermatologist said: “With a towel? Oh no, I don’t think that’s really good for your skin. Use your fingers.” But she wasn’t quite right.

I hate those commercials advertising new acne medicines and treatments! No offense but they suck for me because none of them work. I'd rather use logic and think for the solutions myself than searching for new acne products on an advertising channel. However, some people find one or more good treatments by trying all the different medicines lined up on the shelves of drugstores and/or advertised by the media.

Well guys, any comments, concerns, criticisms? LOL . . . JolieBelowTheOil

Exclamation Results after a month - it really worked!

Okay guys, it really worked. And I really hope it will work on all of you grieving about every type of acne on their faces. Guess what, I kept rubbing my face with soap and loufa every night for not even a minute and after one single month, my face, although my pores are still the same size (lol), is way, way smoother, cleaner, whiter. Less red spots, almost no brown spots, no visible blackheads all over my face.

I used to go all angry in the morning after I washed my face because when I looked at my face in the mirror the red and brown parts were standing out - this was because when you are sleeping, the blood does not rush around your body, so when you wake up the blood starts circulating faster and the red and brown parts become darker with the blood. Now however, I sort of fallen in love with my face (lol!) can't believe what soap and a single orange ball of loufa can do.

Don't you just hate it when someone talks to you right in front of your face as if they want to inspect your skin!? I used hate it... it was so annoying and embarrasing. But now I am much more confident around people - but that's only after I have lapped up all the shiny dirty oil from my face first! ... JolieBelowTheOil
