Smile Here we go again.

I was Dx in November 2008. A couple months after my Doctor put me on Met. I was taking 250mg twice a day and it made me so disoriented and nauseous. After a week or two I said forget it, and stopped taking it.

I have decided to give it another try. Yesterday I started taking it again starting at 125mg twice a day and working my way up slowly.

Wish me Luck!

PS - has anyone had any luch with Met and weight loss?

Good luck to you, ardentglow... I'm only starting as well, been given a much higher dose to start with and feeling fine so far. Thank goodness! But I'm sure you'll get used to it. Wish you every success!

Ardentglow,
It can take a while for the body to level out with side effects and met. Don't give up, and hang in there. Watching what you eat makes a big difference with Met too. If you do eat higher fat or really processed sugary food, it will make you feel worse with the side effects, or at least I do.
I have been following a lower carb lifestyle w/ Met since Feb. 09, I have lost a total of 70lbs since I started. This doesn't happen to everyone, but I am happy I found a combination that works in getting me healthy.
Good Luck!
