Hey!!! I'm new but not new?!?!??

Hey everyone! I found this site a few days ago and have been posting my questions like crazy, but somehow I overlooked this section. I am glad I finally saw it because I am about to be 20 and I am not dealing with many of the issues the other woman are dealing with such as trying to get preganant...and I don't have a husband so...I am really happy to have seen this forum. My name is Megan. I was diagnosed with PCOS about a year ago. I didn't do anything about it. I just blew it off as if I was told I had a cold or something. Stupid me! I finally decided to do something after I was humiliated in front of my friends. I was in S.C. for a concert, we had just seen Ludacris. Anyway, we were stopped at a traffic light and I was sitting in the back seat when some guys yelled to us "What's up ladies", I minded my own biz. but my friends said hey. Then as the light turned green, that jerk yells out and I quote "the ***** in the back seat must weigh like 200 lbs!!!" And I just sat in amazement. I was mortified! All I could think was yeah he is right and I weigh 15 lbs. more than that. So I was extremely depressed for the next few months, and thats when I decided to go to fat camp. Haha! It was a great experience though. I made really good friends. Now a month after being home I have decided to tackle PCOS. I don't know why I just explained my whole story. I guess I just have never told anyone. So thanks for listening to me. I am a REALLY good listener too...and I feel at least I try to give really good advice, so if anyone would like to talk. I was diagnosed with PCOS last July...a little over a year ago, but I had symptoms since 14. I am so happy I found soulcysters....it makes having PCOS a lot easier.

I am so sorry that those guys were so cruel to you. People can be so rude sometimes...it is so sad. Even though those comments hurt...the more I think about it, it does not matter what people think of you....it only matters how you think about yourself and how your loved ones think of you hun!

I am right there with you! I weigh the same as you....i know how that feels don't you worry....all my friends are skinny and pretty and then there is me.....they always get the looks and the guys... i know....it hurts and people as such asses i tell ya....i guess i have gained confidence becuase right now i am at the lowest weight i have been for a while i have lost almost 40 pounds over the past year....being confident and loving yourself for who you are makes a huge difference.....i have had PCOS for a bout a year and a half.....getting it under control truly helps....i'm 17 by the way.....you are a beautiful person and let no one tell you other wise.... i have been through alot of stuff with my weight and i am always willing to talk to you if you want...my sn is freshwoods4 on aim....you can e-mail me freshwoods4@yahoo.com or pm or whatever you like if you would like to talk....pcos sucks but getting it under control helps....like you siad SMILE!!!!!!!!!!! that is my saying....i am always smiling....everything will work out i promise....feel free to talk to me i'm always all ears!
