A friend of mine told me about this site last night and I thought I'd check it out. I have never been officially diagnosed with PCOS but a few doctors told me that it was more than likely. I did have an ultrasound once and the doctor found cysts in the wall of my uterus but she said it was nothing to worry about. This was about 6 years ago.
DH and I are in the process of adopting since I can't have biological children. It's a long process and one that has me up at nights. I mourned my infertility for a long time and when I made peace with it I knew I was ready to adopt.
If you don't mind me asking, why can't you have children? There are so many options even with pcos and other "fertility issues" Though many can be painful or expensive or both!!

I simply choose not to use load my body up on chemicals in order to conceive. If other women want to do that, I have no problem with their choice but for myself I just don't feel comfortable using drugs or invasive procedures to get pregnant. I want to have a family and raise children more than I want to be pregnant so DH and I have chosen to adopt.

Welcome! I haven't been diagnosed with PCOS "offically" either - I'm waiting for my insurance to kick in to help cover the costs. I hope to see you around!
