Hi everyone, have just been to the doctor yesterday,and he has pretty much stated I have PCOS, I just have to wait for the hospital appointment for the scan to confrim.
Myself and my DH have been TTC for almost a year now without success, and are disappointed to find that PCOS is most likely the reason behind that.
So I guess that's it, just wanted to introduce myself, and say hi to everyone!

Hello there and welcome to SC!
PCOS is not an"all is lost" diagnosis when it comes to having children.
Many women here are Mommies....myself included.
I was TTC for over 14 years when I found out about a medication called Metformin and I was pregnant within 2 months of taking it!
You may want to ask your doctor if it would be right for you.
There is hope!

I felt the same way you do when I was diagnosed, I felt that I'd never be able to conceive again. But I too took met, and it worked wonders for me. Helped my cycles regulate, helped me lose weight, and helped me get pregnant.

I am in the same situation you are in.
I was dxed with pcos in august, we found out that it was pcos because we have been ttc for a year as well. my ob dr told me i have pcos after doing lab work and seeing that my ovaries are covered in cysts
I have my first infertility appt tomorrow!

Welcome (both to Silver and czara)! I was dx'd with pcos in May of '05 when my dh and I first started ttc. It can be pretty overwhelming to get that dx, but don't think that you won't ever conceive because of it. GL to both of you!!

good luck cysters! hey im beky and im ttc ive known ive had pcos ....forever lol but was dx 2yrs ago! im now on clomid to help me ttc so its not all lost! there are so many thing u can try xxx

Welcome! I think you will find a lot of sympathetic ears hear, I just joined and so far everyone has been wonderful! I know it really helps to be able to talk to others who are going through the same thing and this is a great place to come and do that! I know you'll like it here!

Just a little update... I went to the doctor las thursday and for sure I do have PCOS. He put me on metformin he started me on 500 mg and going to progress up to 1500mg. We will give it a try for 3 months and if still needed after the 3 months he will put me on clomid. So this is a good start!
