Default Hi. Enlarged Thyroid

Hi. I went to a dr. appt today and the dr found that I have an enlarged thyroid. She took labs and did an ultrasound. I do not know the results yet, but is there anything I should ask or anything???

Just don't wait around. Get it taken care of. My sister had an "enlarged" thyroid that was actually a mass and she is having it removed tomorrow because it is cancer! She has thyroid cancer and is 27 and had her 2nd baby in october. She had no idea this was happening until she went for her 6 week pp check up and her ob said it felt enlarged to see her pcp. I know that this is not always the case but know it can happen. Take care of yourself!!! GL!!!

I would ask if there were any nodules and the problems associated with the enlarged thyroid, as well as, what their treatment plan is. Don't forget to ask about the options for treatment. If you don't feel comfortable with what they want to do in the end, seek another opinion. It really helps to look up information on the thyroid and know some things first hand as well. Good luck!!

Default Me too!

I noticed that my neck looked a little bigger and then my endo said that there was a slight enlargement.
My bloodwork always comes back as normal but she is sending me for an ultrasound on Friday. I'm very nervous. Another thing to deal with!!!
