Hi there. I just got my prescription for Met and got it filled out yesterday, so I thought I'd introduce myself here. I've been a Cyster for a year now, and have been waiting and going through testing since my diagnosis last June (was referred to a specialist).
I am a moderator on the alternative medicine board. My husband and I have been ttc for over 5 years, with this year being the first time we've done anything medically. His tests were all fine... he apparently has an abundance of very healthy swimmers! Even the doctor sounded impressed. LOL.
So, I am starting with 500mg of Met, 3 times a day. I just took my second one (first of today) and have not experienced any side effects yet. I would imagine that this is a good thing (especially for hubby).
I can honestly say that I'm glad to be on this board, as it means that our treatment has begun, and that we're moving forward.
It's nice to meet you all (and for those I know... HI!!!! ))

Hi Aimee! It's nice to find a friendly face here. LOL. It's strange... SC is all one big site, but each board is a completely separate new place. This is new territory for me.
Thanks for the welcome. I've just taken my second met for today (yeah, I know... supposed to be taking it slowly, but I'm an all or nothing kind of person sometimes). I feel pretty good. If my tummy begins to twist, I have some peppermint capsules at the ready.
