Points: 833.87 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 833.87 | Hi everyone! First post :) My name is Debby and I was diagnosed with PCOS in December 2007, though I've had symptoms since I was 17 (I'm 25 now). I don't have many periods on my own 2-3/year and most of the time they are anovulatory, I don't have great skin though it could be worse, I gain weight incredibly easily and losing it is very difficult. I don't have much trouble with excess hair, I have a little here and there but nothing major.
I have one almost 2 year old daughter who was conceived completely by surprise, we were not planning to TTC for a few more years and I thought for sure it would be difficult. Of course we love her dearly now.
I'm not on Met, my RE said she didn't want to prescribe it yet back in January. After doing quite a bit of reading here I went to my local health food store and got some herbs and supplements.
I'm going to start taking:
-Vitex
-A blood sugar stabilizing blend that contains: Vitamin A 1505 IU, Chromium 300mcg, Cinnamon bark 400mg, Fenugreek 210mg, Nopal opuntia spp 150mg, Bitter Melon (momordica charantia) 150mg, Gymnema Sylvestre w/ 75% Gymnemic acids 100mg, Bilberry 100mg
-A women's health blend containing: Black Cohosh, Sarsaparilla, Siberian Eleuthero, Licorice, Blessed Thistle, Dong Quai, Pomegranate
How does this sound to all of you with more experience than me? |
