Just thought I would introduce myself.. To start off my name is Raeann , but you can call me Rae for short if you'd like.. Im 19 years old and live in Wisconsin, but will be moving to Indiana at the end of the month. I was told I had PCOS about 2 years ago, after only getting my period about 6 times a year. I have a lot of the side affects such as being overweight, the whole hairy situation (to much hair) and also thinning hair on my head.. I take 1000 mg of met and BC also.... I guess my biggest fear of having PCOS is Im scared I wont be able to have babies. I find myself SAD alot, because I dont feel normal, but Im so thankful that I found this site because now I know that Im not the only one going through this anymore...And its nice to know you have somewhere to go when your feeling down... Well I hope to get to know you girls!! We just gotta stick together!!
Glad you found this site, I'm sure you will love it as much as i have. I think all of us understand how you feel, that's why is great to find such wonderful ladies who are going through the same thing. Take care!

Welcome! I know it seems frustrating, but you really are very lucky that you were diagnosed so young. If you take care of your health starting now you can head off many of the problems, including fertility issues. Now that you've found this site you have the knowledge and power it takes to become a very informed patient. I look forward to seeing you around. Welcome again

Welcome Rae!! We all feel the same way about the curse of PCOS...if you ever need any questions answered, someone on this site will know the answer! I lurked on here for a few days to see what was going on and I learned more than any book can teach you just by reading these kind women's answers!! Good luck on your journey of PCOS...you're joining a bunch of great women!
