I have been reading this site all day, and I must say that I am impressed! It feels good to know that there are others out there who can relate to what I am going to through. To know that there are people that are trying to conceive, and have! That is the best news to me ever. When I 1st learned I had PCOS, I thought "I will never get pregnant." I have been trying for about 4 years now, and just learned last May that I have PCOS. The wierd thing is I am not over weight, I have normal periods, and I ovulate regulary. (The bad thing is my ovaries are large and my testosterone is high) I have tried 1 IUI I Ovulated successfully and everything, but I just did not get pregnant. I took some time off of trying (for about six months) and now I am going to just take everything one day at a time. I just started back on Metformin (1500.) I am going to wait a couple of months, and then start back trying.
I have a question... ?
Anyone get preg while using met without infertility drugs?
Again hello everyone! I am so excited about this site!

You can find some info regarding Met and TTC on the Metformin and TTC Boards. There are some women who have conceived through losing weight, some by herbs/natural meds, Metformin or a combination of any of the above. Depends on your body and how it responds to different types of treatment.

Welcome! Yes..I got pg while only taking met (1500mg) back in 2005 (my son is now 19 months old). However, since mid March, I have been back on met (2000mg) with no AF and no ovulation. But..I know of many women who have gotten pg with only met. Good luck.
