My doctor called me this morning and told me the outcome....I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I have no idea what it is, how I got it, or what to do. Help!
I am starting a medicine tomorrow called Metaformin. She told me it will help me lose weight. Is this true?
Metformin helps stop the over production of insulin. I have seen very positive results in just a month when I coupled it with staying on a low-carb eating regimine (Atkins). The change in energy and how I feel is amazing. Give it an honest shot! But you have to stick to it with NO CHEATING.
The best thing for me was to learn as much about PCOS as I could. There is tons of information here. If you ever need to chat, feel free to contact me.
