Hi, everyone Im Michelle and Im new here. Im 17 and a Junior in high school. PCOS is pretty new to me. I never even heard of it until December I went to the doctor cause I had mono then after more testing for other things I was told I most likely had PCOS but I still have to get some of my labwork in for an official diagnosis. I've had the symtoms for a while now but lately it seems they are getting worse I have the facial hair growth, weight gain, irregular periods, and only recently has my hair started coming out which is probably the hardest thing to deal with because at 17 and a female having hair loss is crazy to me I usually think of old people and men having hair loss. I try to keep a positive attitude about things but it's emotionaly hard to have to go through all these things especially at my age and still in high school, some kids these days just aren't very nice. So I'm glad I found this site where there are people going through the same things and know what it feels like.
Hi Michelle, Welcome to Soul Cysters. I can remember how hard it was in high school knowing that I had something wrong with me. I just didn't know what exactly my problem was until about 8 years later. I think that you will really enjoy this site and find a great many friends here.
