hey, i got diagnosed with pcos a few years back but never really thought much of it, i get all the hair stuff, missed periods, weight issues but never really did anything about it, now im thinking about going back to the doctor and getting her to test my insulin and provide me with some meds, ive just started chatting to a guy on msn and i really quite like him, he seems to like me aswel and i dont want him to think im a fat, hairy old minger so i really think now is the time to sort myself out!
is there anywhere that can give me some sort of diet to follow, maybe a diabetic diet or something as this is the hardest part for me!
Welcome to SC! There are quite a few resources here that you can use in terms of medication (tradition and alternative).
As for diet, there are also some choices here. I follow a low gi food plan because I'm insulin resistant, but others have had good results with low carb, South Beach, Weight Watchers, etc. I also exercise 5X/week (yoga 3x, walking 2X) so you may want to consider adding some movement to your daily routine too. Check the Diet and Exercise boards for more feedback on individual plans.
