Smile HI Im new here.....

Hi to everyone, I was glad to see that there is a site that women can come to and connect with eachother, who have the same health problems. First of all let me tell you about myself. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of 13, and I am currently 21. It has been a tough battle through the past years. Trying to find a doctor who would listen to me or who had the knowledge of what PCOS was, and how to help me, wasnt very easy. I was told my whole teenage life that I was not going to be able to have any children due to the PCOS and the lack of menstrals. In 2007 I started fertility treatment, and I now have a 14 month old beautiful son! He is my pride and joy!
I recently went to my first appointment with a Natropathic Doctor. She has been the very first person to trully listen to everything i was concerned about. She put me on a few supplements and had told me to stay as far away from sugar as possible. The main supplement she put me on was PCOS BLEND by VITANICA. Today is day 3 for me from having NO SUGAR and also taking the supplements. Its still a little too early to notice a difference, but one thing I have noticed is my energy level has increased. Well I just wanted to say hi and if anyone has any questions please feel free to send me a message. Thank you and have a great day!!!

Jessica

Default Hiya!

I'm new too and just wanted to welcome you.

I currently eat some sugar and I'm going to continue to until the end of March so I test accurately. This is what my dr. wants me to do as I've never done the testing.

But I also notice when I go off sugar & white flour completely I have tons more energy so I'm planning on starting that diet the moment my testing is done. I've never done a low GI diet that some recommend on here. For me the avoiding white sugar & white flour is enough without all the complicated math.

I also find that eating protein for breakfast helps me a lot. I can't wait to get a real diagnosis & start on the rest of my life.

So welcome to us!
