Hi
It has been a long long while since I've posted here. I guess life got busy and I felt like I was in control of my pcos symptoms, as much as I could be anyway!
Lots has happened since I was here last; I got married and we have a beautiful baby boy, Liam, who is 5 1/2 months old. We were so lucky, and conceived naturally the first month we tried. Considering I have pcos and quite a big weight problem and I'm 34 (was 33 when I conceived), I was expecting to have trouble, or at least to take a little while to fall pregnant. That wasn't to be, and we couldn't have been happier.
Our little man is a delight. He was born at 36 weeks 3 days because I developed severe pre-eclampsia, but all was fine for both of us. He is fully breastfed after a very difficult initial 6 weeks, but I was determined and we won in the end.
I'm finding it rather difficult to shift my baby weight, and the excess I had beforehand, even though I'm breastfeeding. I guess that's to do with the pcos, but I don't want to take metformin while I'm feeding. That did help me in the past though (although I had been off it for some time before I fell pregnant) but I'll wait until Liam is weaned, whenever that will be.
Anyway, I just wanted to re-introduce myself. I'll start having a bit of a look around the site again now.
Julie
