Hi all, my name is Ashley, 20 years old, and I'm new. I just found this forum randomly from google and decided to join. For the first time in my life, I went to a gyno for a pap in early January and I was pretty scared for it being my first time, but what scared me more was the nurse discovered I had cysts on both my ovaries (polycystic cysts) but she told me I would have no troubles conceiving in the future. My periods are always irregular (the past 2 months it has been on time, but it's late again and I'm freaking out), I can't seem to lose much weight, and I seem to have some kind of pain in the area where my ovaries are.
My fiance and I want to start TTC next year after I turn 21. He too is "infertile" (if you know what I mean) which will make our chances of becoming pregnant even more difficult.
I need to go on the pill to regulate my hormones because they are out of control, but I'm looking around for the cheapest place to go to get a prescription.
So basically that's my introduction and problem with my body right now!

Hi Ashley be careful with bcp's as they can increase insulin resistance. I've found that a good diet (no sugary/salty foods, no white carbs, greek yogurt, meats, egg, fish nuts, beans, seeds, veggies, some fruits (GI diet) eating every two to three hours, drinking only water and organic milk (eat all foods organic) and taking GNC's women's ultra mega have helped me greatly. So has Maca (balances hormones naturally and flax seed oil, evening primose oil) I would look into them
I've tried MACA before but it made my bowels overactive, so I stopped taking it. I think I have the vitamins you mentioned, but I have not taken them in a while. I need to start again, I don't know why I stopped taking them
Hi,
I have started working with a Natropathic Doctor has greatly helped. She has straightend out my vitamins. She recommened a good multi, probiotics and antioxidants!
Hello- There are lots of different medications that can help you conceive when you are ready. How does your boyfriend know he is "infertile"? If there is male factor infertility issues as well, I would recommend having a consultation with a reproductive endocrinologist so you can look at your options. For now, like the other ladies said, there are several natural ways to regulate your hormones and I also don't like BCP because I feel that they made my symptoms worse, besides a regular period, everything else I got was not pleasant.

Thanks to everyone for all their suggestions. We know he is infertile because he has taken a couple of those male fertility tests before and they were both very negative. His sperm count is so low, there's more water/liquid than actual sperm, and his vitamins don't seem to work for him.
We'll go see someone together someday, hopefully something can be done for us.
