Just wanted to come in here and introduce myself. My name is Frances , but everyone just calls me Francie. I'm 22 years old (soon to be 23 on April 29th!!), and I was just diagnosed with PCOS yesterday. I'm supposed to be having more testing done and my doc wants me to go to the infertility clinic. I'm shocked still, and a little sad. I feel extremely alone for some reason.
Anyways..not trying to be depressing right now in my first post, lol. So I'll just end it here. I look forward to meeting everyone!!!
I understand that you feel alone and confused. I am there right with you. I was diagnosed 3 weeks ago and I am still confused. I think what made me feel alone is that I do not know anyone in my life that has this. If they do, maybe they do not want to talk about it. Just keep coming back and ask question. Make a list of questions for your doctor so you do not forget.

Frances, I'm Heather and like you I am 22 (wont be 23 until October though), I was diagnosed back in the end of 2004. I'm happy to provide some chat!
Are you TTC? Or does your Doc just want you to see and Endo in general? A word from one whos been there, some Endos/clinics are only interested in treatment of PCOS if you are ttc otherwise youd do well to fined either a good Gyne who knows about PCOS or an Endo who is more open to working with women who arent ttc.
Feeling overwhelmed is normal. Acclimate yourself to the site, jump into conversations, ask questions, and read you'll become a pro in no time and that feeling of being alone wont be as bad overtime. Keep in mind you are NOT alone! Theres so many of us with PCOS out there.

Hi, newbie from WA here!!!
