I am new here to this forum! My name is Sarah, I am 23 and have dealt with PCOS most of my menstrating life. They FINALLY sent me to an Endo and diagnosed me officially on April of 2007! I am on Metformin (500mg for a few weeks than upgrade to four of these suckers a day ) So far this is my third day and no side effects yet, just really thirsty. I hope to lose SOME weight on this as I am a little miserable with my apperance. I would love to meet any of you and become "Cyster's".

Hi Sarah, Welcome!! I'm still relatively new here, but I'm sure you'll find the ladies on these boards as wonderful and supportive as I have.
I was diagnosed in May and since we're ttc, my doctor put me on clomid. I just finished my first round. He's considering met, on one hand it excites me because some women loose weight on the other hand, I don't like the
I hope your side effects get better. I've heard a few cysters say they faired better on the other "slow release" version of met, but my brain can't draw out what it's called...

Welcome! When I first started taking Met I didn't have any of the bad side effects I heard other people talking about, I guess everyone just handles it differently. I am currently up to 2000mg/day and don't feel sick at all.
