I've been posting here for a few days, ever since I got a phone message from my endo saying she thought I had PCOS. I came right here and started reading, reading, reading. And then I started posting because it looks like such a great community.
But, today I spoke with my endo and she's starting me on Yasmin + spiro. In a month we'll recheck my thyroid (because I just got that upped, too) and see if I am insulin resistant and need met.
I am 32 years old. I am married and have a 6 year old son. My husband and I have no plans to have any more children, though we never say never. So, my main concerns are controlling my weight (which is out of control) and staving off diabetes.
I hope through this community I can find support and maybe friendship.

LOL! You know what's hilarious to me??? My signature contains a quote from the annual Bulwer-Lytton Contest to see who can write the worst opener for a novel....and the ad at the bottom of the thread is for URI Eagle Ceramic Knives! I know it will be changed as soon as I post this but I just found that hysterical at the moment...
