Default Hi Sugars on Avandia

My Dr. put me on Avandia yesterday, Aug. 26 - I took the prescribed amount, 4mg., but forgot my glucose meter at work so I could not test last night. I took my 4 mg. this morning and have been running really high sugars - this mornings was 134, and it's been climbing into the 140, 160 and 180's all day. I have not eaten any more than usual and I went walking last night. Could the Avandi be making me test so high? I have never tested that high before.

Default I haven't heard that before...

Do you have diabetes or just the insulin resistande? If you have diabetes it could be that the Avandia is just not right for you. I just started the Avandia 2 weeks ago. 4mg. I am suppose to go up this week to 4mb twice a day. I would talk to your Dr. if your sugars don't come down soon.
