I have them all over my upper thighs. It does help when I'm tan though because they blend in much better than when I'm pale. |

My Mood: Points: 18,258.40 Bank: 30,233.00 Total Points: 48,491.40 | my dermatologist, my gyno, and my GP have all told me that what I have is folliculitis. My gyno recommonded a type of OTC wash, dermatologist gave me a prescription wash, and GP gave me two weeks worth of doxycyclene 100mg 2x daily, which should have killed it if it was folliculitis. It's just getting worse. I feel so disgusting. I HAD three of them on my boobs and they were embarassing enough. But now I have 8, count em, EIGHT on my boobs (4 on each boob), 6 on my armpits, and like 3 on my crotchical area.
I feel like a monster. DF wants to do "stuff"(he has a romantic evening planned) with me on our 3 year anniversary (on 6/5) and I'm not going to be able to do any of that and I'm not going to have an excuse why I can't. I dont want to tell him.. And I'm afraid that since he made such an effort to have such plans, that "I SAID NO WOULD YOU LEAVE ME THE **** ALONE?!?!?!" would hurt his feelings.
I look like a Leper.

I really hope they go away so that you can enjoy your anniversary.
For me Chromium Piconilate ALWAYS makes them decrease and go away.

Points: 557.28 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 557.28 | I went to my endo today for this and he prescribed Mupirocin which is an ointment and he also gave me antibiotics cephalexin that I have to take 4 times a day. As soon as I try the medication I will update to see if I've improved. I get them on my armpits so he told me to not use anti-perspiration deoderant because it blocks the pores. So I also bought a natural deoderant it's a Tom's Brand. Maybe this will help someone when they go to the doctor. |

It DID help but he also said it's more of a temporary thing & you can't do it long term. Eventually you'll develop a tolerance to the antibiotics & they lose their efficacy. |

The only tea tree stuff I've ever seen has been the Paul Mitchell stuff and it smells all minty and good. It took my breath away when I cracked open the bottle of pure tea tree oil! |

My Mood: Points: 451.37 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 451.37 | I just wanted to say that it is such a relief to know that others have this also. My doctors have always told me that I had ingrown hairs etc... until I started seeing my current gyn, who told me that it is HS and has given me steroid injections in them-not fun. It all makes sense now that it is PCOS related, so hopefully when I get it under control it will help me from getting them in my groin and under my breasts. OUCH! |
