My Mood: Points: 3,336.35 Bank: 3,982,271.04 Total Points: 3,985,607.39 | I just found this thread and thank God! I've had boil problems for a few years now. I think Metformin might've helped me as well. I am pregnant now and doc put me off Metformin after 3 months of pregnancy and I am 8 mo pregnant and have one huge boil on my inner thigh. Its painful enough experiencing all the pregnancy symptoms (feet swelling, being heavy, back pains, etc) and now I have a boil that I almost can't walk because of. Ugh! Its been there for about 3-4 days now and keeps on getting bigger and more painful. I am thinking of trying the Boil Ease and see if that helps. My husband and I always wondered what those were. He is the type that loves picking and poking pimples and such and boils being so painful I tend to not always tell him about it as I am afraid of him begging me for hours to squeeze them and it would be so painful.
I am on my way to buy Boil Ease and hopefully that will help this one and some warm things to put on because i can barely walk now.

My Mood: Points: 2,544.66 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 2,544.66 | Arggg for the past few days the inside of my thigh has been swelling up, the skin is turning this really dark color like 5-6 shades darker than usual and I Black so it’s noticeable. The itching is ridiculous but I try not to itch. I have been using a cream with aloe vera in it along with baby powder with cornstarch in it. It decreases the itching but now the skin is kind of dried out and peeling. I’m visiting the dr soon to see what can be done. I don’t have the boils put I do get this weird pimply rash on my inner thigh. Is this HS? After reading everyone’s stories I have no idea if it is or isn’t. |

Hi, there's a lot of info in the alternative remedies board about cinnamon.
I personally take a 500 mg capsule with lunch and dinner (my heaviest meals). I have been doing this since about november last year. Before that, I used to get cysts on my groin and lady bits (as dh calls them), but they have completely stopped since the first cycle I started with the cinnamon for insulin resistance. I didn't think they were related to pcos, but obviously they are in some way.
If you are taking anything else for insulin resistance, check with your dr first.

My Mood: Points: 493.73 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 493.73 | I've got them too They're on my inner thigh (and it looks like they've set up camp for the long haul!) and sometimes I get them in my armpits.
It's really affecting me because I met a guy that I'd be interested in dating but I'm afraid to let him get close because I'm so embarrassed by my legs. I've got severe scarring from them too and the huge, purple remnants of old eruptions. I just don't know what to do anymore.
I was on Metformin and birth control for a while but I was having blood pressure problems and I've got congenital liver problems so my enzymes would spike off the charts!
I can't seem to find a worthwhile doctor who understands PCOS or who really pays me the attention I need.
I'm chronically depressed. I have come to hate myself.
HELP!!!

Being fat is bad enough without looking like I have a sexually transmitted disease! Mine is a mild case in my inner thigh, armpits and under breasts but the areas look icky. I am going to try Cinnamon and hope that helps. Please keep trying to find a supportive doctor, it will be worth the hassle in the end. HUGS!

AngelCOH, good luck with the cinnamon! It has completely changed my life, I so hope it works for you too.

My Mood: Points: 493.73 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 493.73 | Thanks ladies!
It's affecting everything I do. I have to make sure I wear ONLY cotton pants, I never want to go out with friends or family because then I have to wear jeans which rub and hurt, I feel like I'm a walking pustule!
And I hear ya, AngelCOH! It's bad enough that I'm overweight and fat, this problem doesn't make me want to exercise or better myself because it's so painful and embarrassing. I don't let any guys get close so I don't have to explain it.
I've been doing extensive research on the topic of Hidradenitis suppurativa and doctors recommend that you DO NOT POP THE BOIL!!! Let it erupt naturally. When you pop it, the same amount of fluid and pus that comes out is the same amount that you're forcing back into your body and possibly your bloodstream. Let nature take it's course. You're more likely to not scar also.
You might want to try these websites http://www.natural-cure-remedy.com/boils.html http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hidradenitis-
suppurativa/DS00818/DSECTION=lifestyle-and-home-remedies http://www.skin-disorder.org/2007/08/ http://www.hs-foundation.org/abouths/treatment.htm http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/h...ppurativa.html
Hope this helps some of you. If anyone knows of any good Long Island, NY doctors, please let me know!

Met a guy a few months ago and I remember it took me a few months to tell him about my lovely purple stretchmarks and my surgical scar. Ha now I love my stretchmarks compared to HS which I’m dreading telling him about. Nothing like boils and pus to make a relationship grow closer huh? |

I just wish I could flaunt SOMETHING on my body without having to wear a biohazard suit lol

I got paid today so am off to stock up on some good quality cinnamon capsules. Maybe I don't have to be single for the rest of my life x
