I too was to scared to get close to someone, i hadnt been with my fiance for long when i had my surgery so he kinda saw the ugly scars and stuff, he never judged me for it, he see's me going through the pain when i have an outbreak and i know it hurts him seeing me in so much pain. So believe me when i say..... if a guy really likes you for you he wont care about hs. |

I've been getting this since I was around 16 I think, sometime in high school. Lately I have noticed that if I don't take my meds right, one will pop up. I'm diabetic also, so I just attributed it to that.
The summer before last I had one under my arm that I had to get lanced (which wasn't painful, but they put packing in it afterwards which caused me so much pain. My back was killing me. I had to go to Urgent Care and have it taken out the next day) and then last summer I got another one under the same arm. I went to see my PCP who immediately sent me to a surgeon. He looked at it and said since I wouldn't let him touch it (that's how much it hurt) I have to have it surgically removed. So I had to have surgery that day,and then for the next week and a half I was on Percocet and having the dressing changed. Fun times.
I've noticed that I have two more right now on my bum lol and I've been feeling this pain under my arm, but I can't exactly feel the lump. I currently take Actos and Glumetza and I've run out of Actos...can't get anymore til Friday. So that's why they're here.
Yay for another PCOS symptom.

So...I really want to try some drawing salve but I have a few questions...so if anyone has used it I'd love fome info
1. Where do you get it? I've seen places online selling "black drawing salve" from anywhere from $2.99-$19.99. I'd like to pick some up on my own if I can...ordering online usually ends up costing more because of shipping and it saves materials (box & packing).
2. Does it hurt?!
3. Is it ok to put in um....sensitive places? Of course I wouldn't put it IN those places but I do have some boils that are pretty close to my girlie parts.
I'd love any info! Thanks

I've been charting (although not for very long) and so far it seems like they get worse around ovulation and right before/the beginning of my period. I'm interested to see if the pattern continues...

Then these past couple of it has reformed and is sore. It is only the size of a fingernail but it makes me feel so bad about myself :-( Make me feel dirty and disease ridden. I am due on in a few days so maybe that hasn't helped!

Oh yes! I am on Met XR 1500mg daily & tha birth control pill Yaz, obviously daily. I know th@ Yaz alone wasn't what was helpin fewer & less severe outbreaks b/c I was on tha brand of pill b4 I began Met. I've been on 1500mg Met for approx 7 months (started @ 500mg for the 1st week, then 1000 2nd week & then finally 1500) & those spots are severely diminished in tha # of times AND their size since then. So either the Met alone is helpin a LOT or tha combo of Met & Yaz. I say get on it if you can!!!!! |

AngelCOH~Are you looking for a different practitioner? It never ceases to shock me how ignorant some doctors can be about PCOS and all the lovely things that come with it. I hope you can find a doctor who is understanding and helpful.
