Next time, don't let them get near you with that wrist cuff! I had my BP checked on one once (I am big too and need a large cuff) and my pressure was sky-high! Your doc really freaked out for no reason. Now, your reading was horrible but it was probably the dang cuff, not you. Don't feel bad!
I had OK-to-borderline BP before I conceived, and it began climbing around 12 weeks pregnant. The doc put me on Labetalol, which is baby-safe. There are also some pregnant cysters here who take Aldomet. Both are fine for babies. Don't worry! Your dream of being a mom will come true and you can safely control your BP.
