High LH and vitex??HELP

Hello,

Does anyone take vitex and have high LH? Or has anyone had high LH and taken vitex and seen it decrease?

Vitex is supposed to increase LH, but it is also supposed to be good for PCOS-- anyone who can help me solve this puzzle? I have high LH, but my doc said ok to take vitex.

Vitex didn't work well for me for other reasons (gave me acne - maybe bad brand?) but I know it has helped a lot of women. Yes it can raise LH slightly and it can also possibly raise testosterone (ugh!) BUT it has a progesterenic effect which definitely helps balance out the hormones eventually. If you aren't O-ing then you're likely low in progesterone. What I've read is that with LH already elevated from PCOS, a little more won't make much difference. Vitex takes up to 3 months to reach full effect so if you try it, be patient.

Thanks for your reply. I am not O'ing, I have been on vitex for about 1 1/2 months. I'll be patient--it's hard. I am also on 1000mg met.
Can you refer me to any articles or resources that think could be helpful/valuable?
