Default high testosteron--please help!!

Please help me if you have a minute!!!! I was diagnosed in May only becaue I had mild hirstuism, ammenorhea and cysts on ultrasound. My labs were all FINE!!!!! I went on glucophage as a protocol, but it did not seem to do anything!!! In Ocotber I had a 7.5 cm ovarian cyst removed by lap, then my hair started falling out, then I just found out my testosterone is 79, and i have another cyst that may have to be removed!!! i see my RE in the am, but am soooo upset!!! What is going on? I am not even IR, and was just staying on glucophage because I am starting clomid next month!! Do you think the meds are causing this? Any ideas? I am very scared and upset!!! Can I get pregnant with high tesosterone? I have been taking saw palmetto because i read it is good for hair loss, but have not noticed anything!!! please help a sad little cyster!! thank you sooooo much!!

Cool

I am so sorry you are going through all this. Personally I would get my hormones balanced out a little before TTC. I often show up with normal blood tests as well. I had to look a long time to get decent treatment. One doc said "your hormones are fine." Well they were not. Since finding a good doc, the combo of orthocyclen, spiro, and met have helped me so much.

One of my docs believed in jump starting our systems. This is what I am going to try when I am TTC. Go on all three meds. Get regular periods for a while. Then drop the BCP after a while, then drop the spiro and stay on just met. If that doesnt work then I will start the clomid.

I had a few months of periods after a round of provera and after stopping BCPs a while back. Mt Doc thought I was ovulating on my own then.

Good luck!

Something i didn't address in the other thread to you... but something is causing the ammenorrhea, did they give you a reason why? I would think that should be the primary concern for dr.'s to investigate?

There is always a REASON for everything, Clomid will just mask the symptom. I find that doctors sometimes are less interested in finding the reason if they have a quick fix for it already. If it's not your high insulin it could be something else.
