1 when hair is visible on your arms or legs, how many of you wear long sleeves w/ pants?

My arms and legs are extremely hairy. I never cover my arms for the sake of them being hairy. As for my legs, I'll shave them if I plan on looking really nice but other than that, I don't cover them just to hide the hair. All of my short are clam diggers any way, that's all I ever usually show of my legs.

2 how many people wear socks constantly to hide the hair around the ankle & toes & feet?

This hair doesn't bother me, could care less what people think of a little hair on my toes.

3 does anyone wear turtlenecks/scarves to hide hair on the chest or neck? No. I occasionally shave them when I want to wear something lower cut which is rare, but mostly I don't try to cover this up.

4 or comb your hair around your face so that sideburns arent visible.

I have actually gotten genuine compliments on my side burns, so no on that. But sometimes I keep my hair down if I'm feeling more 5 o clock shadowy than usual.

5 if you cant wax, nair or pluck for a few days, do you give in to the urge to shave? (actually i heard plucking is worse and shaving is better but i feel safer plucking for some odd reason)

I shave all the time anyways, I have no choice. That's for my face, everything else gets Veet of shaved if I don't have Veet.

6 favourite method of hair removal (besides laser/electrolysis but if youre on it PRAY TELL how its working for you and how long it took to complete the treatments) here are some preferences: sugaring, waxing, threading, plucking, shaving, finishing touch/electronic hair removal blades, nair/cream. also please recommend brands, types, and pros of cons of the ones you like or dislike very strongly.

I don't know about FAVOURITE form of hair removal but I don't know. All I ever do is shave and Veet. I hate waxing and I can't afford anything else.

7 does anyone else get knicked from shaving their arms or toes or feet?

I don't shave those, but I do get knicked from shaving my breasts which is really annoying because then I think they look worse than they did before.

8 whats the strangest place that you have to remove hair? i dont know if its strange but my fingers...i actually woulda said the tops of my feet or a couple other things except that i saw some people who said they too have to remove the hair from there.

Hands down it's gotta be my boobs.

9 HOW on EARTH do you get rid of all that tiny black stubble? the kind that looks like pores in your arms or wherever you remove it from? the ones that when you shave or whatever its still there! my legs even kinda look like that bcuz im so pale and then i got these li'l dots except on my legs its pores, on my arms its hair. anyone got any ideas?

If you ever find this one out please let me know! I wonder the same damn thing...

10 anyone tried those hair buffers by con-air or any of that kinda stuff? the ones where you replace those pads on it? like a microderm abrasion kit?

I give up on idiotic hair removal gimmicks, I have tried so many ridiculous things I can't help but look in the mirror and laugh because I look so dumb rubbing sand paper all over my face.

11 WHAT IS A FACIAL HAIR BUFFER? they have those facial hair buffers at the stores but i dont know if they really work like they say they do and HOW do they work? thats why im hesitant to buy it.

n/a

12 anyone had any luck w/ the facial hair buffer, hair off mitten, or the Sally Hansen hair removal kit that includes the "hair wand"??? i dont know what the hair wand is but its called something like that i think, i cant remember but i was and am tempted to try it except that i think its probably going to be something like nair in a tube, or "wand". i just wanna know what it is!

okay no more buffer questions!

13 favourite method? most effective? least favourite? least effective? please give details as to why, if you can. i.e. the smell, the residue, painful/leaves burns, too much preparation time/doesnt remove small/long hairs effectively, doesnt remove hair as its supposed to, etc.

already discussed...

14 how does hirsutism affect your love/social/sex life? and on a scale of 0-10 (or OFF THE SCALE!!!) how would you say that the hirsutism affects your self-esteem/self-worth?

It sucks and I hate it but mostly I just cope with it. I don't even try to cover it up like I used to. I shave almost every day but if I skip a day it doesn't keep me inside the house. None of the people I call friend have ever given me a hard time. Complete strangers have given me a hard time. I say **** those idiots, they are not worth the time of day, so I don't let them get to me. As far as the sex life goes. I generally shy away from people because they can be harsh and I have read horror stories. I however have been extremely lucky in that when I do find myself in the occasional make out situation, the other person has never even cared, not one bit. Further more they always end up wondering why I'm so self conscious and tell me to stop worrying. So I have been extremely lucky in that department, I think all they care about is my big fun boobs anyways, hair or no hair

15 does your partner know you have hair? do you cover/remove it and try to keep it flawless all the time or do you sometimes let it go for a bit?

if i had a partner, i wouldn't even try to hide it would just be pointless. whoever i'm with is gonna love me for every wonderful inch of me and that's that.

16 does hirsutism cause a less-fullfilling sex life?

it's never been a problem for me even though i constantly worry it will be.

17 have you come to accept the problem or do you constantly find yourself wondering how things would be different if you DIDNT have it? does it cause a constant state of depression/loss of control?

I go through cycles of self loathing and hatred, of acceptance, and I constantly wonder how life would be different. I could wear cuter clothes, a swim suit at the beach. But to tell you the truth I'd probably be a slut XD

18 does the cold seem to make hair growth worse?

never noticed.

19 pros & cons of your favourite method/least favourite method. i know ive put this a few times on here probably but i figure that different products may be listed on different areas so you dont have to answer this if you have already and youre going to say the same thing you already said...lol bcuz i dont wanna be a hassle BUT this is more for the last words on any product that is worth knowing about.

Not at all my hair is one of my erogenous zones...
YES!!!! Be it man or women I prefer them to have hair. I've been with relatively hairless people, I mean they didn't shave or anything they didn't need to. But it was just too weird for my. I dunno I love petting body hair I guess ^^v

1 when hair is visible on your arms or legs, how many of you wear long sleeves w/ pants?

I've never bothered with my arm hair. For some reason it doesn't bug me as much as hair on other body parts. I hate having to wear pants when I've forgotten to shave. This isn't a big deal in the winter, but it really sucks in the summer.

2 how many people wear socks constantly to hide the hair around the ankle & toes & feet?

Eh, I don't. I only have hair on my big toe and even then it is pretty light. I shave it off when I remember. I proudly wear sandals. Besides, I have nice feet. If I've been blessed with the yuckiness of PCOS, but I have nice feet, I'm going to flaunt them.

3 does anyone wear turtlenecks/scarves to hide hair on the chest or neck?

I have some chest hair but it isn't something that bugs me. What bugs me is chest acne! No,I don't wear scarves or turtlenecks.

4 or comb your hair around your face so that sideburns arent visible.

Eh, my sideburns aren't really bad. If they were, I'd just pluck or wax them off.

5 if you cant wax, nair or pluck for a few days, do you give in to the urge to shave? (actually i heard plucking is worse and shaving is better but i feel safer plucking for some odd reason)

I have only recently started to wax and pluck. My beard is what bugs me the most! I used to shave for years. I hate it because of the stubble. I could shave in the morning and be covered in stubble later on. So embarrassing! The worst part is that I lived on campus and the mornings I could not shower it was a pain in the butt to shave in the bathroom stalls so the other pretty girls didn't see me shave like a man!

I love waxing, but I hate how it leaves behind the most stubborn hair. I use it to get rid of most of my facial hair and pluck with tweezers to get rid of what is left over. I have to be careful with wax because it makes me have pimples on my jaws if I'm not careful cleaning it and treating it.
Plucking is great, but to pluck every hair is not practical. Shaving sucks because of the stubble. I'm going to have to stop shaving my manly hair thighs because my thighs chafe and it is much worse with stubble!

7 does anyone else get knicked from shaving their arms or toes or feet?
No, I curl my big toe to avoid cutting it. I bend my knees to avoid getting knicked too.

8 whats the strangest place that you have to remove hair? i dont know if its strange but my fingers...i actually woulda said the tops of my feet or a couple other things except that i saw some people who said they too have to remove the hair from there.

My belly (including treasure trail)! But I don't think I'm going to shave it again. Such a pain.

I don't know! I hate that! Hated it when I shaved my face.

14 how does hirsutism affect your love/social/sex life? and on a scale of 0-10 (or OFF THE SCALE!!!) how would you say that the hirsutism affects your self-esteem/self-worth?
Love and sexual life? The boy doesn't care. He says it is cute (yeah, right). I'm gonna say 7 on both because I am self conscious. Social life? 7. Nobody says anything (except family!) but I hate having to feel as if people may be noticing my moustache or beard. I get rid of the hair, but sometimes I forget or it isn't possible. Self-Esteem? OFF THE SCALE. I have a hard time feeling feminine.

15 does your partner know you have hair? do you cover/remove it and try to keep it flawless all the time or do you sometimes let it go for a bit?
Yes, he knows. The first time he saw me naked, I shaved my legs but nothing else. It didn't turn him off. I even shaved my beard and moustache in front of him in the morning. He didn't care and his seeing that did not turn him off from anything! I think before you do anything you might want to talk to your partner about that stuff so he or she understands and knows what is coming. I have never lied to my boyfriend about my appearance. He knows I'm fat, pimply, and hairy. For some reason, he still got intimate with me and he is not complaining!

16 does hirsutism cause a less-fullfilling sex life?
If you find the wrong person, yes or maybe the right one that doesn't understand, maybe. In my case, nope!

17 have you come to accept the problem or do you constantly find yourself wondering how things would be different if you DIDNT have it? does it cause a constant state of depression/loss of control?
Yes! I feel bitter about my PCOS. I feel very bitter that other girls don't have to spend so much time and effort and worry on looking normal.

1 when hair is visible on your arms or legs, how many of you wear long sleeves w/ pants?
The hair is always visible on my arms and I don't pay much attention to it anymore but If I have any stubble on my legs I will wear pants.

2 how many people wear socks constantly to hide the hair around the ankle & toes & feet?
I try to keep them shaved b/c I hate socks.

3 does anyone wear turtlenecks/scarves to hide hair on the chest or neck?
I shave the hairs there.
4 or comb your hair around your face so that sideburns arent visible.
Sideburns aren't really a problem for me
5 if you cant wax, nair or pluck for a few days, do you give in to the urge to shave? (actually i heard plucking is worse and shaving is better but i feel safer plucking for some odd reason)
My dermatologist told me that shaving was better and wouldn't hurt anything. She said that saying about hair growing back thicker/blacker is a myth and so far I have to agree.

I use veet. Nair does not work on my but veet does. Also there's a diplatory
cream for colored men that works great..it's called Magic but it stinks pretty bad. I think it smells like sulfur water.

7 does anyone else get knicked from shaving their arms or toes or feet?
No
8 whats the strangest place that you have to remove hair? i dont know if its strange but my fingers...i actually woulda said the tops of my feet or a couple other things except that i saw some people who said they too have to remove the hair from there.
My fingers and toes are the weirdest place I think.
I don't have an answer for this one.
10 anyone tried those hair buffers by con-air or any of that kinda stuff? the ones where you replace those pads on it? like a microderm abrasion kit?
No
11 WHAT IS A FACIAL HAIR BUFFER? they have those facial hair buffers at the stores but i dont know if they really work like they say they do and HOW do they work? thats why im hesitant to buy it.

I tried the hair off mitten and not only did it not work but I was left with really irritated skin b/c it was like sandpaper.
13 favourite method? most effective? least favourite? least effective? please give details as to why, if you can. i.e. the smell, the residue, painful/leaves burns, too much preparation time/doesnt remove small/long hairs effectively, doesnt remove hair as its supposed to, etc.
I love the Veet stuff. That and the magic cream for colored men. But the magic cream stinks (I think I answered similiar earlier). Nair does not work on my thick hair.
14 how does hirsutism affect your love/social/sex life? and on a scale of 0-10 (or OFF THE SCALE!!!) how would you say that the hirsutism affects your self-esteem/self-worth?
It only affects me. my husband is ok with it but I feel very self conscious about it. Probably around a 7 for me.
15 does your partner know you have hair? do you cover/remove it and try to keep it flawless all the time or do you sometimes let it go for a bit?
yes and he helps me rid myself of it lol.
16 does hirsutism cause a less-fullfilling sex life?
no. my weight does though.
17 have you come to accept the problem or do you constantly find yourself wondering how things would be different if you DIDNT have it? does it cause a constant state of depression/loss of control?
I'm always wondering what it would be like to be a normal woman. I see ppl say they're proud to be a woman and i want to relate to that but I cant.
18 does the cold seem to make hair growth worse?
YES!!!!!!!!!!

1 when hair is visible on your arms or legs, how many of you wear long sleeves w/
pants?

don't care about my forearms, i have long thick hair there but wear short sleeves anyway...

when i haven't shaved the legs, i'll wear pants or a long skirt.

I use a battery powered trimmer to prevent ingrowns on the face so i shave it just above the surface.

6 favourite method of hair removal (besides laser/electrolysis but if youre on it PRAY TELL how its working for you and how long it took to complete the treatments) here are some preferences: sugaring, waxing, threading, plucking, shaving, finishing touch/electronic hair removal blades, nair/cream. also please recommend brands, types, and pros of cons of the ones you like or dislike very strongly.

shaving/plucking, cheap & fast -been doing so long i don't notice plucking pain anymore.

14 how does hirsutism affect your love/social/sex life? and on a scale of 0-10 (or OFF THE SCALE!!!) how would you say that the hirsutism affects your self-esteem/self-worth?

don't have a love life because I don't want anyone to get close enough to discover my hairy secret.
