Default Hiya

Hiya my name is Natalie, im 19 and just been diagnosed with PCOS just last week.

i didnt know anything about PCOS or anyone who has it until i searched the web, but still dont know anyone in my area that has it, but never mind.

i thought i was young to have it but obviously not.

i dont want kids at the moment but i do in the future though, but all i think about is that i wont be able to have them and see people who are pregnant, it is really frustrating me. i found out that my best friend (the same age as me) is pregnant but she is getting rid of it, she already has one baby that was unplanned now she is expecting another unplanned one, she doesnt know that i have PCOS but she wouldnt understand if she knew. it still doesnt stop how hurt i am though.

i suffer with all of the symtoms practically apart from Acne, i am on a low carb diet and on metformin tablets. i will have to wait for them to get into my system as i have only been taken them for 1 week.

anyway anyone who would like to talk can email me : nat_the_tat@hotmail.com , i would really like to hear from someone take care all, Natalie xx

Heya. I'm Jes or J (depending on how I feel). I'm 18 but have known about my PCOS since I was 13. My mother was diagnosed when I was 12, and as soon as I hit puberty I was tested. Symptoms came and went but it wasn't until October last year that it was all confirmed officially.

I can understand how you feel with your friend being pregnant. I try to feel happy for friends and family who feel me they are expecting, but sometimes the jealousy just comes along. There are ways and means... Having PCOS just means any child we ladies do have... Will be 1000 times more special then we can imagine.

Talking Hi there.

Welcome to SC ladies. *waves* It's great to have you all here. You all seem like wonderful ladies. I hope we get the chance to become buddies. Sorry about the diagnoses. PCOS can be a big bummer at times, but we'll beat it and are here for eachother. PM me if you ever want to talk. (((Group Hug)))

Hi I'm bree and im 19, (almost growing out of this board!)
I agree i get upset when i know ppl who terminate but i try and just think that its their decision.. It doesnt help much though.. I normally end up in tears about it. I agree with jes/j (depending on how she feels) though that they will be heaps more special to us. I also understand about what you mean when you say even if she knew you had pcos she wouldtn understand... its pretty hard for anyone to understand unles they have it. One of my closest friends went out and got drunk and fell preg just like that and for a while it upset me bcause she didnt plan it and even though shes a great mum i mean mom sorry - im from aus it seems so unfair that she could just go out and get preg like that when so many women on here try for ages!!! I'm not ttc but just saying in know how you feel. Take care and sorry for babbling
