I saw an article online today about an at home laser hair remover that the FDA just approved. I looked it up and apparently it is to be done under a physcians supervision/direction. I can't find anything onthe exact cost, but it still sounds interesting.
I think I'd rather do it myself (or have DH help with) than some stranger at a professional place - I can be very self-concious about extra hair in unfeminine palces.
Has anyone else heard anything about this?? Would you try it?
I would be weary of doing any type of laser at home. I am currently doing laser at a clinic. I was very selfconcious about it at first but now i actually look forward to going. The techs are funny and it is not as bad as you would think.
Another problem is adverse reactions to laser. I had a reaction to my first treatment and if i hadn't had a tech to talk to i would have truly freaked out (I had a histamine reaction but it cleared within 24 hours with OTC benadryl). Also there is always the possibility that you could burn yourself or cause hyperpigmentation.
This is my second time in life trying laser, the first time the tech didn't seem to know what they were doing. Now my tech is also a physician and the results are great. So i really think results are based on the knowledge of the tech.
Plus if that laser hurts as much as one at a clinic does you might not be able to keep yourself from reaching up and hitting your DH! lol

If it was affordable I would. I've tried every other type of hair removal I could afford so I'm sure I'd try that one! lol
I wouldn't mind being able to try it at home to see what results I get and then mabye get it done properly by someone who knows what they're doing!

I would get it based on other people trying it first to find out how it actually works and how permanent the results are. I am definetly interested to hear about it. What is it called?
I'm with you, I think I'd be willing to try it, but I'd need more info on it and want to see/hear about how good the results really are from someone who has used it...

I would try it for sure. I've wanted to get my legs, arms, and bikini done, but I'm a SAHM with no friends or family in the area. DH owns his own medical clinic, so he has to be at work M-F from 7A-6P. He can take off on occasion for a quick dental cleaning (where it would be impossible to supervise DD) or something similar, but not anything on a regular basis. So doing something like this at home would be amazing. I am also interested in the no!no!, but am waiting for better reviews.
Incidentally, the Silk'n says it is not for the face, as it may cause extra hair growth. Nothing said about the pubic area.

Hi i know Rio do a home laser hair removal machine, it sells for about £199 here in the uk and has the same strength laser as a salon, i would deff do it at home, if i knew it was deff going to work
That article was a lot more informative than the original one I read. It sounds like something I would try - it doesn't sound all that painful and pretty effective. If areas need to be re-done occasionally, I'd already have it at home to do it.
