This is my first post in the last few months. Have always been a silent spectator but now decided to switch the role.
Has any one tried homeopathy for PCOS?? I am on homeopathic medications for the last 3 months. But no AF as yet. Waiting since last 5 months without any success. I hate taking progesterone pills. However the positive result with homeopathy is that I have lost 5 kgs in last 2 months and the cm is better too. It was scanty before. Can anyone help me out with this? Should i wait for AF or go to the doc?
I stay in India, and i really don't know whether we have progesterone creams available here (Mumbai). Kindly let me know if u know abt one.
Bye for now.
Praying hard.
Bye for now.

Here is a post from another message board that you might find interesting...(I don't know how accurate it is...you might want to run a few internet searches, too)

Hi Mona, As a student in homeopathy....yes,there are homeopathic meds to treat PCOS. I am also on metformin as as well. I started to see a homeopathic doctor when I was very ill.She didn't name the disease as PCOS..but did definitely say in her terminology that it was pelvic congestion/hormonal problems. Also,I have other health issues. My homeopathic doctor/teacher says once the hormones are balanced...and that can take a while..everything else falls back into place.Dong Quai is not homeo...but it will regulate the menstral cycle and eliminate cramping. So,I have the hair, skin, menstral probllems under control,,,just working on my IR now and regulating my thyroid abnormalites,of which I take pulsatilla intermittently. Some homeopaths take you off all conventional meds first before starting on homeo. Some do it in combination.
Pulsatilla is probably one of the best for PCOS.Sulphur is another one. Pulsatilla is simply a hormone regulator for woman.Sulphur helps with the skin and hair and I can attest to that.It is also good for IR.Sulphur made a big difference with my skin and hair. But that is just me. Lachesis is another one that helps with heart palps attributed from the sugar response. Nux Vomica/Columbrina is good for the bowels.I am currently on that now since I started the met...for the diarreaha and nausea.Bryonia is good for bloating and water retention.
You should not attempt to go and purchase these yourself.YOu should seek out the help of a qualified homeopathic doctor who can direct you.The meds are not to take daily, but rather intermittently.
I must admit, although there are alot of skeptics out there......homeopathic meds helped me with alot of problems...but it takes time like other meds. Sometimes you will have to experiment.
