And I can't help but be nervous. I keep telling myself that DH and I are good people and that there's no reason things won't go our way, but then the irrational anxiety kicks in.
She says she will be here for 6 hours. What do we do for six hours? Poor DH will be exhausted, as he has to stand watch today and isn't allowed to leave work until 7:30am tomorrow.
Today will be spent cleaning the house and making sure I have all the paperwork organized to give to her tomorrow.
I was so nervous when we had ours. We felt the same way. I have never heard of a homestudy that last 6 hours. Ours was right at an hour. She basically went over our paperwork, talked to us about everyday stuff and did a walk through of our house.
You will be fine and again, Good Luck.
Congrats.
Stacy

Good luck! I guess the 6 hours is because she's doing everything at once instead of having to come back? Sheesh. At least you'll have it over with. I'm sure you'll do just fine. Just be yourself and you won't have anything to worry about. Maybe she'll be nice and let dh take a nap at some point???
Congratulations on the surprise pregnancy! That's awesome!!

We passed! She was here for about 4 hours and was incredibly patient. DH was supposed to be relieved of his watch at 0730, but due to his relief not showing, he got off 5 hours late!!
So we sat and talked about everything, and she said she'd write up a favorable report and have it to us by next weekend!! It will be written to say a female child from Guatemala age 0-2. We are so excited!!!
Congrats ! I hope you have a short and uneventful adoption and have your daughter home in your arms before you know it !

Yay! Congrats! I am sure your little girl will be home in no time! It feels agonizingly long right now, but one day you will look back and you will realize how quickly it really went!
Good luck!
