Default honey

I just wanted to post and say that I started using honey to wash my face and it's better than it's been in years! I'm pregnant and usually that makes my acne even worse but the honey is really helping. I use Really Raw Honey.

All I do is wash my face with it in the bath or shower once a day and then use my moisturizer if I need it (but I don't usually need it). I started feeling better skin in about three days. Just FYI!

Thanks! I'd love to try this honey thing. Although. I searched online and thought that this might be a good thing to do. I'm going to buy the ingredients and start this next monday.

Things You’ll Need:
  • 1 tbsp. almond oil
  • Honey
  • Lemon juice

Step 1:
Make a honey and almond oil cleansing mask to combat acne and prevent further outbreaks. Mix well 1 tbsp. of almond oil with two spoonfuls of natural honey. Apply a light layer of the cleanser to the effected area, massaging gently in a circular motion. Allow the cleanser to sit for a half an hour and rinse with warm water and a soft cloth.

Step 2:
Add a few drops of lemon juice to the cleanser for greasy skin. Start with a small amount and increase depending on the oiliness of the skin.

Step 3:
Use your honey and almond oil acne treatment daily to maintain acne-free skin and a healthy glow.

Step 4:
Store your honey acne treatment in the refrigerator. The honey and lemon will not go bad, however almond oil is highly perishable.

I use honey when I am PG/breastfeeding as a face wash. I finish with organic jojoba oil as a moisturizer, and it works really well!!

Do you mix the honey with anything before putting it on your face?

Does it have to be raw honey?

Funny, I was going to do a honey mask tonight (or maybe tomorrow now!). I put it on and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water and moisturize as necessary. It's very mild and leaves skin nice and soft.

Another good option is honey with a little bit of sugar in it, use it as an exfoliant and leave on for the same amount of time. Talk about smooth!

Does the honey help with the " flat " appearance of the skin and make it look more vibrant?
