Default Honey remedy for skin blemishes

I just read this in a book I bought. I have not tried it yet, so I have no idea if it even works but I thought I would just let everyone know about it. This is what it says:

Honey remedy for skin blemishes. Cover the blemish with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it. The Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile, and speeds healing, Works overnight.

I thought it would be something to atleast try to see if it really does work, plus honey isn't that expensive and some might even have it on hand, it claims it works overnight so it wouldn't be something you would have to wait for weeks to see if it really works, because it claims it works overnight.

I'm skeptical of anything working completely overnight but as you say honey is cheap, give it a whirl.

For me, I find when I have a monster zit I will plaster mud masque just on that spot, leave it overnight, and USUALLY have significant reduction in the morning. It doesn't always work, and this last time I did it it brought the zit to a fragile head that burst when I washed it off so now I have a red scabby area which I was trying to avoid, but it usually works well. I used Queen Helene Mint Julep masque - it has sulfur in it which is good for treating acne, in addition to the clays which draw oils and so forth out.

toothpaste, lemon juice and witch hazel all work great! i use witch hazel everyday and i've seen HUGE improvements on my skin. only downside is that it makes your skin super dry and i already have dry skin. i've read about vitamin e and i've been using that the last couple of nights and it's amazing stuff. very moisturizing and makes your skin sooo soft and glowy. the lemon juice makes your skin glow in the morning, and the toothpaste shrinks blemishes or even makes them disappear completely.

Honey contains natural antibacterial agents, which is why it is often recommended for acne. Think of the milk and honey facials often referenced in ancient literature. Milk can also help balance pH.

I know of several women who use honey exclusively on thier skin instead of soap. But make sure to rinse well! Here in FL, if you don't, all the summer bugs will get you!

Honestly, though, honey is great for skin. Several years ago had a side business (crafting hobby) of soap making, and my honey-oatmeal used to be my best seller!

my dad has bee hives so we can get all the honey we would like . I also have done some reading and watched some shows on tv about the healing fact of honey and its good for so many things. Also if you have read the Bible it also speaks about it . I would try it. I dont think it could hurt. If anything it could make you sweeter!!!!hehe
