ever had yer ego boosted by yer significant other?? i had one of those moments last night...DW got her hair cut yesterday, and i admit it looks kinda sexy, so her and i were in heated exchange in bed, and after having finished, she looks at me, and exclaims
"wow, you were like muff-diver of the century."
where apon she promptly snuggles into her pillow and is asleep within like 30 seconds...hehehe
what an egoboost!!! i was chuckling about it for a good 5 minutes before i could stop smiling long enough to think about sleep myself...
anyways..being a guy, i just HAD to tell someone, cos god knows she posts enough embarrasing stuff about me.. so here's to my wife....

To answer your original question, twice that I can think of, my ego was boosted like that. Once when we had just started dating, and were engaged in the same heated moment you're talking about, I looked at him and my hair fell over my face, and he said *with feeling* (this is the important part) "God, you're so sexy." No one had ever said anything like that before. And the other time is more recently: for Valentine's Day I bought some lingerie for "us", and a couple weeks later, he said, "I wanna see you in that lil white number again. " I feel special!
