So I am back hoping for "3rd times a charm"! We had to early miscarriages one in November and one in April...I have since went to a fertility specialist and have been undergoing MULTIPLE tests...they took something like 31 tubes of blood last monday...and some more every few days since then...i had an HSG test last thursday all is clear no scar tissue or blockages...had a Hysterosonogram yesterday and all was well on that no fibroids and no endometriosis...did have 19 follicles on left ovary and 9 on right...he said that was consistant with PCOS and OFFICIALLY diagnosed me. Also had a GlucoHemoglobin test come back with a 6.3 which was too high wants it between 3.0-6.0..redid the test yesterday it was a 6.1 and had t 2 hour Glucose test...it came back as EXCELLENT??? so why then is my A1C test slightly high...anyway he is clearing me to try again this next month...and he is referring me to a maternal-fetal medicine specialist because of the borderline A1C...i still havent gotten a specific on why i miscarried the first 2 times....hopefully this time it will work!

Are you on metformin? Women with PCOS have a high MC rate, but metformin lowers the risk.

hysteroscopy/laparoscopy on 10/07/08: Stage 2 endometriosis, uterine fibroids, scar tissue, & ovarian cyst removed

Metformin also regulates your a1c and insulin, and it seems that yours are coming down and that's a great sign! Mine was 6.9 almost a month ago....Crap! My RE informed me that either one of these can cause infertility and m/c, and can also cause gestational diabetes. And also, a1c's vary by clinic. My doctor says he prefers to see anything under 6.5, because 7 and above is in the diabetic range. Oh, before I forget, your a1c measures your blood sugars in the last 2-3 months. A molecule binds to your blood, and this is how they are able to tell how you've been regulating your blood sugars in the past few months. So, you might not have IR or diabetes now, but you could've have earlier in the year.

I was on metformin the first time i was pregnant and not on it the second time...I have lost about 30-40lbs since the first pregnancy so hopefully it iwll help things this time...the dr has not told me to go back on the metformin...We follow up with him August 12....

Also had the 2 hour glucose test last year before pregnancies at my highest weight results were perfect

I was told it played a huge factor in your results as well. Have you had any immune or testosterone testing done?

yeah we had all that testing done the past couple of weeks and the only thing that they called me on was the A1C level....so??? i dunno maybe they were just flukes and this time i can get preggers and stay preggers!
