I am so confused right now as to what is going on with me. I had a m/c back in May and had a D&C on June 2nd. It was a very difficult D&C, so it's possible that a little tissue could have been left behind. It's now almost 2 months later and I still have not had a period. This was my 2nd m/c and 2nd D&C and after my first one, AF showed 7 weeks later. I thought I would have had a period by now. So, since I work in the lab at an RE's office, I had a beta and progesterone done on Thursday. My beta was 21.6 and my progesterone was 8.69. I talked to my RE(who I also work for) and he was shocked at the results, especially the progesterone level. He smiled and asked if I thought I could be PG again. I told him it was possible as DH and I hadn't been doing anything to prevent it from happening, but not trying either. I am having my beta and progesterone done again tomorrow(Monday) to see what's going on. I don't think I am PG again, but who knows! Anyone heard of anything like this before?

My sil had a tubal pg in middle May and went on to have a d&c the 3rd week of May (this was in 03) She tested positive and ultrasounds dated her pg and confirmed she had concieved aroun july 4th. No af between the tubal d&c and bfp. So yes it can happen. I hope your numbers keep doubling up!!!

thanks for your response! I have no clue what's going on. I also took an HPT after the beta just to see what the line looked like, so that I could test again in a few days and see if it was getting darker. The test(which has a sensitivity of 20) was negative but later after a very faint line appeared, which would make sense since my HCG level was right around 20. Then today I took another test, it was also negative but later the line was even darker than the test the other day. Guess I'll find out something in the morning for sure.

Well, my beta dropped from 21.6 to 16.7 and my progesterone level dropped from 8.69 to 6.0, so my I am not PG. My RE said that there is no way to know if my levels are due to a biochemical pregnancy or if they are still up from my D&C back in early June. I should be getting AF within a couple of weeks and then I will be having surgery in September to remove a large fibroid. Hopefully I'll be able to TTC again in January or February. :-(
