Question hormonal headaches!!!!

Does anyone else get really bad headaches when their af is irregular? My af arrives whever it feels like it (anything between 5 weeks and 3 months). But at about 3 weeks after the last one i get terrible headaches and these last right through until i get af - so sometimes i get headaches every day for 2 or 3 months or so. I also feel tearful and get bad spots on my chin and jaw until i get af too. What is causing this? Does anyone have any ideas on how to improve these symptoms? I take evening primrose oil and a multi-vit. Tried metformin but it didn't regulate my af so stopped taking them. Help!

Just a question.....how long did u stay on met? Sometimes it takes up to 6 months to regulate your AF.

I was taking met for 2 years so i gave it my best shot really. It didn't do anything much at all for me which was a shame as so many other people have a good experience with it.

I tend to get hormone headaches as part of my PMS and they feel like the back of my head is going to blow off if I move. I finally found something that gets rid of them within 30 minutes every time. I take Midol- not the PMS one- just the extra strength kind that has caffeine as one of the ingredients. The caffeine causes the blood vessels in your head to contract and takes the pressure off the nerves, thereby relieving the headache!
