Question Hormone Levels Are They Read The Same?

Hi Girls

Just wondering does anyone know if our hormone levels are read the same way as the American's?

I know that the HCG level is the same, but can anyone tell me if the progesterone level is read in the same units?

I've tried searching and I can't find anything to help answer this question, but I thought some of you may know.

Can you help?

Hugs
Mandi

Hi Mandi,
Do you have the lab sheet that has the results on it? It should say on there what units were used. You might find the normal range printed on the sheet too...

Don't know if this web page is any help for you? I think its an American site but at least it suggests the units they use... Hormone Levels

Anyway, your levels look great Mandi! Your like the progesterone queen! How have you been? Neaseous? sore bb's? Tired?

Keep us posted,
Luv Nic & Lyssy xxx

Hi Girls

I completely forgot to reply to this the other day so i'm doing it now LOL

Nic, I was told over the phone what my levels were and since I haven't been back to that Dr, I haven't had a chance to even ask for it. I did however call again and ask the nurse. Apparently they are looking for levels of anything above 20. She said that usually 40 is the norm, but that mine was so high that it was a good thing.

From what I have read from all the other TTCer's, they are based on the same numbers, so i'm thinking that yes, it is the same as the US.

The nurse wasn't entirely sure if it was the same as the US, as I couldn't tell her what they measure their units in (forgot to get that from that site Nic gave me oops!!)

And Nic, i've been really good, mainly tired and yes very sore bbs, and a bit nauseaous every now and then but other than that, really good!!!

Hugs

Thumbs up Hormone Level help

*Adobe needed*

I found these great charts indicating hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle:

http://www.snp.com.au/publications/pdf/IP234.PDF

and a template for converting the volume of hormones and stuff in blood. eg. 2 nmol/L converts to 63 ng/dL(whatever that means):

or
