Default Horrendous PMS symptoms????

As I get older I am noticing my PMS symptoms are getting worse and worse. I average a 21-28 day cycle and my period lasts between 7-8 days.(It used to be 5 days)

The week before my period I am so extremely anxious. I get horrible headaces, bloating, back pain and am exhausted but the anxiety is the worst symptom. The other 3 weeks though I am fine.

Does anyone else go through this? Is there anything that can be done to help ease the PMS?

Hi Monarch - I am glad that you made this post. Sorry to hear that you are suffering so badly.

I feel really bumped/depressed, crampy, tired, scratch that - exhausted, leg cramps etc. that only plague me that one week out of the month. My doctor called me "hormonally sensitive" (JERK!) and gave me some prozac for when I "need" it. I don't think this is a great solution though and am anxious to hear how other women deal. Tired of feeling like a sap and a weakling for that week!

I get really bad PMS, mainly a few days before my cycle and about two days in the cycle. I tend to have a hot water bottle for the pain and take painkillers. They seem to help for me. Although i tend to warn dh when PMS is happening
