Default Horrible Menstrual Cramps............

I have quite a problem with menstrual cramps. I have ever since I started my periods (when I was in 4th grade. I’m in 11th now hah.) In the last year, they seem to have gotten worse. My doctor has prescribed me everything under the sun and I have tried just about everything in the book. Nothing seems to work. I'm getting desperate here. Anything I can do at home? I'm trying to eat more veggies and drink more milk (if I could drink orange juice I would, but I cant)Its getting way out of control and if there's anything that I can do for cramps at all, I am WILLING TO DO IT.

Try fennel tea, peppermint tea, and pineapple. Orange juice it a bit harsh. I think pineapple helps with cramps and period flow. Fennel tea can help with the pain and settle your tummy. Peppermint tea helps some too.

I think I have read that both pineapple and papaya can help.

Really sorry you're going through this.

I find that lavendar oil rubbed on my tummy and on pressure points helps to sooth and relax me.

Something else I would definitely recommend is reflexology. I had it when my PCOS was really bad, and it helped em so much. I am going to start having a few sessions again to help my endo pain too!

Hope this helps xx

i drink fennel or peppermint tea a lot. Does a hot water bottle help on your stomach?? that usually gives me some relief.

hope you feel easier soon.

I have been suffering from severe cramps for almost a year now, steady cramps even without my period, and my doctor told me to get a mirena cuz apparently they are starting to use them to treat endimetriosis and such. I dont know if your in need of a contraceptive or anything but thats what my doc advised me to get. I just got it put in on friday, it was quite a procedure and it hurt alot but if it works im okay with what i went thru. I can keep you up to date and let you know if it actually gets rid of the cramps at all, I am quite skeptical of it myself but I had 2 specialists tell me i would be surprised at how it works for things like that so i thought what the hell i will try it and see, and here I am.

Raspberry Leaf! It helps me sooooo much. I prefer to take the pills because I can take 2-3 every day so that it is built up in my system and I don't always have time to sit around and sip the tea. The PMS teas are great though. There are some great ones by Yogi Teas (Moon Cycle) which has Raspberry Leaf and Chaste Tree Berry and by Traditional Medicinals (Female Toner) which has Raspberry Leaf and Cramp Bark. They are great! You can get the pills or teas at some grocery stores and, I think, GNC. I get mine at either Whole Foods or a natural food store. HTH!
