Sorry, you got me. I used to have horrendous hot flashes EVERY night in my mid-twenties before PCOS diagnosis and treatment. I'd toss&turn all night, then awaken every morning with my hair and sheets soaking wet. It occassionally happened throughout the day too - like the menopausal women in church who always say "Just wait until you get old, Baby, then you'll understand". (They had not idea that I was already going thru it.)
However, all of that changed after I'd began the Metformin/BCP regimen many years ago. Even now, I'm still hot-natured and have mini-flashes at church (like the old ladies) but I just fan and take it in stride, blaming it on the heating system and the long-sleeve suits that I usually wear. The only time I sweat at night now is when (like now) the weather here in Memphis fluctuates from 32 to 76 degrees daily and I'm too stubborn to turn on my AC (or when I have a sinus infection/cold (like I'm just getting over).
You may want to check with your Endocrinologist since you're sweating that profusely WITH the Rx. Like it did with me, I think it is supposed to make all that go away, not make it worse. |
