Default Houston PCOS DR???
Hi,

I am currently at the Houston IVF clinic under Dr. Timothy Hickman. I'm not sure if I trust him anymore...he ordered tests on me and my DH without asking us. (long story) Anyway, I have cysts on my ovaries that may or may not have to be removed. (going for sono in a week) He is more consentrated in IUI and IVF and I'm looking for someone with a lot more experience with PCOS and Pcos surgeries. Can someone help me? Thanks in Advance,

Conceived #1 Oct. '03 on Metformin 1500mg, Omega 3, baby aspirin, Gonal F, Repronex, Viagra suppositories, hcg trigger, & progesterone from 3 dpo until 15 weeks.
TTC #2
Waiting on AF for day 3 testing and SHG, starting Metformin & supplements again. First IUI scheduled for Feb. '09.

If you haven't alrady gotten any responses or found this post in the Recommend a Doctor section...I'm going to paste it for you.

I'm from Houston and there are quite a few others around here too. Of course I'd recommend my RE as my post says but if you go check out the whole link, there were a few other recommendations as well.

I just cannot say enough good things about him. He is my ~*ANGEL~* I owe my PG to him completely. He understands PCOS and treats quite a few PCOS patients.
There are two other docs in his office who I've never seen personally but have also heard good things about, Dr. Leah Shenck and Dr. Valdes (both females).

On a different note, my first RE was also at OGA, Dr. George Grunert...stay away from him at all costs!!! He has no bedside manner and is there for your money, not to help you. He wouldn't diagnose my PCOS and wanted us to go straight from Clomid to IVF!

I see Dr. Leah Schenk at OGA across from the Women's Hospital. She is great. Very knowledgable about PCOS. I feel that it is very important to be completely comfortable with you dr. Keep looking if you aren't satisified. Good Luck. Let me know if you need anymore help. Nire_3@hotmail.com
