How to add Pictures in Signature, Mood Ticker, and Signature Tickers

Adding a picture to your signature:

1. Go to www.photobucket.com and sign up for an account
2. Upload your picture from your computer to the site.
3. Copy the IMG line underneath the picture one it is uploaded.
4. Paste the link in your signature line. (Under CP or Control Panel... Edit Signature)

*Please try and resize your pictures so that they are not really huge. Cysters who are using dial-up connections have a harder time loading pages.

Adding a Mood Ticker:

Go to "User CP" (User Control Panel)
Click on Edit Profile
The second option is the mood option
Use the drop down menu to choose your mood

Adding a Ticker to your signature line:

First you have to create a ticker…. While there are many sites to use here are a few of the common ones…

Fertility Friend -
Go to your homepage on FF and find your chart ID tag. This is found by clicking the sharing tab on the FF website while your logged in, then the Homepage/Ticker set up. If you look at both the Charting Home Page Web Address and the Charting Ticker Web Address, they will share a certain combination of numbers and letters. This is your chart tag.

Below is the code that you need. Replace the **** with your ID number. Replace the {and} with [and].

Lilypie.com –
Follow the steps to create your ticker. Once you are done copy and paste the html code (it is the 1st one listed) into the Edit Signature page under User CP.

**I have found that no matter which site you use for a ticker – it is the easiest if you open two web browsers. One for SoulCysters and one for the site you are creating your ticker on. This way you can just minimize and maximize to toggle between the sites when trying to copy and paste.

I have a question...I tried changing my weight ticker by going into CP function and all I got was a red box. I had to go into ticker.com and make another weight ticker. Do I have to do this every time I want to change my weight loss? I hope I made sense!

Yes I think you have to change the ticker and repaste it each time. I may be wrong, but pretty sure that I seen it had to be done the way you just did it. Someone correct me if I am wrong!

I got the siggy pics. How do I insert a picture into a specific thread -- the actual PICTURE and not a LINK to the pic? I see people doing it with their children's pics on birthdays and whatnot and can NOT figure out how.... thanks!

Maybe I'm just dense... and I AM computer illiterate, but following these instructions takes me to the edit email and password option... is there something I'm not seeing? Sorry to be a pest. This is my last question of the day!

Right under Edit Email is Edit Profile.

This has been a problem that Kat is working on since we had problems with the pages loading. It has something to do with running on a mirror image of the server. They are working on it but for now just upload your pics to photobucket and paste the IMG tag into your posts.

I have the same problem. I tried photo bucket, but the smallest size it will make my photos is still too big to post in my signiture. Let me know if you ever find out how to do it. Or, if there's a different site. Thanks.

I now have it the size I want it. We have dial up,so it must take longer. If you do any type of changing it takes awhile to notice the difference. We assumed it would do it not long after we clicked to resize. We finally figured out to either go up or down in size & just leave it alone for awhile. HTH!
