Question How Big Are Your Ovaries?

Hello!

I go for ultrasounds every three months because my left ovary was removed in 2002 due to a complex mass/tumor. Now I have been labeled with a history of "borderline low malignant ovarian cancer." if that makes any sense.

My current ultrasound reading for my right ovary is 6.3 cm x 4.2 cm. According to the report: "The enlargement is due to a 3.0cm x 2.0 ill-defined mass in the right ovary...although a hemorrhagic cyst is possible, my history cannot be ruled out."

Just wondering if this is normal ??? anyone else out there like me?

Thanks!

I don't know the exact measurements for mine, but have been told that the right one is larger than the left, and that it is unusually long. However, no one has ever mentioned this as a problem. I will say that my right ovary is also the one that always gets the larger cysts and is painful mid-cycle.

A couple years ago it was discovered during an exam that my uterus was really enlarged. Then after a sonohystogram, they disovered that I had a big mass in my uterus, blocking the opening to the cervix, preventing blood from coming out on my period. So the blood was going up into my fillopian tubes, ovaries, and abdomen, making me very sick. I had surgery about a year and a half or so ago to have it removed. My left ovary is also big, and filled with cysts.
